Affiliate Disclosure
bergmoney earns commissions from some of the links on this site. This page explains exactly how that works — and what stays editorially independent regardless.
How it works
When you click a link from bergmoney to a bank, broker, insurer, or other financial service and complete a qualifying action — such as opening an account or starting a comparison — that partner may pay bergmoney a referral fee.
The cost to you is zero. The price, terms, product, and conditions you receive are identical to what you would get going to the provider directly.
No personal data is shared with us. Affiliate tracking happens through the partner's own cookie or referral code; we receive an anonymous attribution that a click came from bergmoney.
Commissions do not influence rankings
The order of products in our comparison tables, the recommendations in our reviews, and the verdicts in our buyer guides are decided by the editorial team — not by commission rates.
- Several of the highest-paying partners do not appear at the top of our tables, because they are not the best fit for most readers.
- We regularly recommend products and providers that pay us nothing at all — and link to them without an affiliate tag when no program is available.
- We turn down partnerships for products we would not recommend to a reader.
How to identify an affiliate link
We use both visible and machine-readable markers so the commercial nature of a link is never hidden:
- In-text disclosure Articles that contain affiliate links carry a clearly visible note above the first such link.
- Link attributes Outbound affiliate links carry the
rel="sponsored nofollow noopener"attribute recognised by search engines. - Page-level marker Comparison pages and product reviews carry a global affiliate notice at the top of the article.
Categories of partners
The product categories from which bergmoney may earn referral fees. Specific partner names appear in the relevant reviews.
- Banks and digital banks
- Brokers and investment platforms
- Pension (Säule 3a) providers
- Health insurance comparison services
- Money transfer services
- Mortgage brokers
- International affiliate networks
What we do not do
- Run sponsored articles dressed up as editorial.
- Sell placement, position, or ranking in comparison tables.
- Remove a negative review because a partner complained.
- Add affiliate links to content where they would mislead the reader.
Don't want us to earn a commission?
That's completely fine. Simply type the provider's name into your browser instead of clicking a bergmoney link, and no referral attribution will be made.
We would still rather you find the right product than the wrong one with our link attached.
