What cookies are
Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They allow the site to remember your preferences and actions across pages and visits.
"Similar technologies" includes the browser's localStorage,
tracking pixels, and tags. This policy covers all such technologies,
not just cookies in the narrow sense.
Cookies we set ourselves
bergmoney sets no first-party tracking cookies. We do not run advertising networks, behavioural tracking, or cross-site profiling.
localStorage to remember
essential preferences such as your consent state or chosen
language. No personal data is stored, and no information is
shared with us or any third party from this storage.
Cookies set by third parties
-
Affiliate partner cookies
When you click an affiliate link, the partner (a bank, broker, insurer, or affiliate network) may place a cookie on your device. This cookie is used by the partner to attribute a future signup or purchase to bergmoney. It is set, controlled, and read by the partner — not by us — and governed by the partner's own privacy and cookie policies. You can disable affiliate cookies by configuring your browser to block third-party cookies; this does not affect your use of bergmoney.
-
Infrastructure cookies (Cloudflare)
Our hosting provider Cloudflare may set strictly necessary cookies (for example
__cf_bm) to protect the site against automated bots and abuse. These cookies are essential for security and do not track you across other websites. -
Analytics
We prefer privacy-respecting, cookieless analytics. If we adopt a tool that uses cookies, this section will be updated in advance and explicit consent will be requested where required.

Legal framework
- Switzerland — FMG Art. 45c Under Swiss law, processing of data on terminal equipment (including cookies) is permitted if the user is informed about the processing and its purpose and has the possibility to refuse it (informed implied consent / opt-out).
- Switzerland — revDSG Any cookie that processes personal data is additionally subject to the revised Federal Act on Data Protection. See our Privacy Policy.
- EU — ePrivacy Directive (2002/58/EC) For visitors from the EU, non-essential cookies require prior, explicit (opt-in) consent. We honour this standard regardless of where the visitor is located: bergmoney sets no non-essential first-party cookies, and third-party affiliate cookies are placed only by direct user action (clicking an affiliate link).
